Altro Walkway/VM20 Safety Flooring Range New Colours
The hugely-popular Altro WalkwayTM 20/VM20 safety flooring range is now bigger and brighter with the launch of twelve new colours.
Two plain options (Canary and Tango) have been added to this hard-wearing 2mm safety flooring range, making Altro Walkway available for the first time in both plain and chipped designs. There are also ten attractive new chipped products: Savannah, Sand, Tarragon, Winter, Whale, Blizzard, Nightfall, River, Coal and Lupine. The colour range includes cool neutral colours, as well as dramatic bold shades, to give great flexibility when colour-co-ordinating with other interior design elements.
The two new plain and ten new chipped Altro Walkway colour options will be available from May 2011. The colour options Buffalo, Kelp, Avocado, Pesto, Maize and Terracotta are to be phased out but, with the new additions, the Walkway colour range will be wider than ever before, extending from 18 colours to 24.
Durable and easy to install
Manufactured with aluminium trioxide throughout the thickness of the material, and silicon carbide at the surface, Walkway provides lifelong slip and abrasion resistance. It also has enhanced chemical and indentation resistance to provide an extremely durable floor covering with a longer than average life expectancy.
Walkway is recommended for a wide range of locations where health and safety standards and CDM regulations dictate underfoot safety. It is easy to cove and weld for faster, more cost-effective installation. For a seamless appearance, Altro also supplies colour-matched weldrods and mastics.
Altro’s Easyclean technology ensures that Altro Walkway continues to look its best, even in heavy foot traffic applications, without the need for specialist cleaning products. The incorporation of a bacteriostat formulation provides enhanced hygiene performance.
Sustainability
The Altro Walkway/VM20 range has important environmental sustainability benefits. Altro safety flooring products achieve the highest possible BRE Global environmental ratings of A+/A in the major building applications of Health, Education, Retail and Commercial.
From the viewpoint of lifecycle, all Altro safety flooring is 100% recyclable and contains post-consumer waste as an integral raw material. Some safety flooring products have up to 20% and some resin products up to 30% recycled content.
Altro is one of two founder members of Recofloor – the vinyl flooring industry’s take back scheme for post-use vinyl – which launched in September 2009. As the first manufacturer capable of recycling safety flooring in house, Altro collects and recycles all the safety flooring on behalf of Recofloor, irrespective of manufacturer.
