IFCMN is an open flooring industry publishing platform which is free to use, the project is funded by voluntary sponsorship donations from the industry's manufacturers. We do not set a fee for sponsorship but whatever the level of contribution to the project, the level of benefit and assistance from us is the same for all.

Credit will be given to each manufacturer on the IFCMN website by way of acknowledgment and a banner or textual reference link. We believe this to be a fair and reasonable approach.

Criteria

• You must be currrently working in the flooring industry in a senior management roll
• Or, involved in the media, covering flooring industry matters
• Or, a flooring industry journalist, a specialist writer on floor covering topics
• Or, involved in Public Relations
• You must have knowledge of, and be able to demonstrate an understanding of the Joomla! CMS. This is a requirement for authoring purposes.

Note: Flooring industry & our media members with 'Author' status
You can use the editor to add your news/articles etc. and save them for publication by editors, you can also re-edit them prior to submitting. After submitting you cannot re-edit them.

The editor is quite easy to use but there are a few simple steps to follow.

Title

• Title - no more than 60 characters; most search engines ignore the rest. News lead-in 'Introduction' keywords must be used in the title, so think carefully.

Now the fun part

• News lead-in 'Introduction' - is one or two short paragraphs about the article, news, whatever; make it interesting enough for people to want to read the item. Use at least two main keywords in the first paragraph, and more in the second if possible. The reason for this is search engines look for keyword relevance in about the top third of the page. Then place your mouse cursor at the end of the lead-in and click on the 'Read more' button below.

• Type the main content including three or four of each of the main keywords throughout.

• For long articles there is a 'PAGEBREAK' button, this will create an article index so that readers can navigate the article.

Meta Data is Most Important

• Enter the article meta keywords.
• Enter the meta description - no more than 150 characters.
• Upload image/s.
  Note: the first time you upload an image, a personal image folder is automatically created for you. For subsequent login's and further uploads you will immediately see your own image folder.
  
  Images: No more than 350 pixels wide and in jpeg, gif or png format.

Finally

Hit the save button. Your submitted article will be reviewed by staff prior to publication.
